Lieu de conversionWootton, England United Kingdom
Véhicule1995 Skoda Favorit GLXie Flairline (originally!)
A mid nineties Czech built 5 door hatchback, with engineering input from VW group who at the time owned around 70% of the company. Very similar in size and overall design to a Mk2 VW Golf/Rabbit
ADC FB1-4001A Series Wound DC
9" series wound motor
TransmissionFront wheel drive 5 speed manual transmission
1231C-8601 (may consider alternatives yet!)
The 500 Amp, 144 Volt Curtis controller, this will be mounted to a large finned alloy heatsink with two 12v cooling fans that will switch on above a preset temperature.
Batteries18 Trojan 170Ah's with automotive posts, 8.00 Volt, Lead-Acid, Flooded
Decided I'll never get to build it waiting to save for lifepo4, so going with Pb for first pack. As most of the cells will be inside the passenger compartment of the car, I'm going to treat the batteries with Thermoil and use Watermiser2000 vent caps. This combination should all but eliminate any acid misting when charging and minimise watering, hopefully extend useable life too.
Tension nominale144 Volts
